Add your voice to the call for improved management of water in BC by signing the petition atwww.ourwaterbc.ca.  The province is currently working to revise its main water law, the BC Water Act, through Living Water Smart’s Water Act Modernization Process.  A Report on Engagementfrom a round of consultations carried out earlier this year was recently released.

For more information on some of the recommendations being made to improve BC’s Water Act, see the Statement of Expectations of BC NGOs for Reform of the Water Act, signed by 29 NGOs in December 2009, or the Brief on BC Water Act Reform, prepared by Watershed Watch Salmon Society, April 2010.
